Weekly 30-min Little Larkers Classes (Ages 1-4) will be offered Wednesdays at:
Cost is $100 for tuition, registration, and materials (book and cd) for the entire 10-week session!
Classes will include singing, dancing, rhythm activities, and introductions to common musical symbols and terminology, and exposure to the work of famous composers! A variety of tactile implements are used, such as jingle bells, drums, and rhythm ribbons, to help keep active minds and bodies engaged in fun, easy-to-learn activities. Depending on the ages, interests, and abilities of each child and class, the instructor will adapt the activities to introduce new layers of learning as applicable. Parents are required to attend, and encouraged to participate with their child.
Weekly 45-min Piano Larks 1 Classes (Ages 4-6) will be offered Thursdays at:
Cost is $120 for tuition, registration, and materials (book and cd) for the 10-week session!
Students will be introduced to the exciting and satisfying world of piano playing! Classes will include developing finger skills and playing technique; listening, singing, and rhythmic training; an introduction to music notation, terminology, and symbols; singing, dancing, and rhythmic activities; and more! Our goal in the very first class is to send them home having already learned a song or two, with the conviction that they can play the piano! Having access to a piano or keyboard at home is highly recommended, in order to achieve the optimum progress gained only through practice. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend and participate with their child in the class, which also makes practicing better at home!
